Heike Oevermann has been the deputy director of the Georg Simmel Center at Humboldt University Berlin for a few years. She is especially interested in interdisciplinary cooperation and has developed various research, teaching and public communication formats with colleagues in the last years.

Curriculum Vitae
Heike Oevermann studied architecture at the TU Braunschweig and ESTA Sevilla, as well as World Heritage Studies at the BTU Cottbus. She conducted her doctoral research on the handling of the industrial heritage Zollverein (synchronic discourse analysis). She was/is a visiting professor in Milan, Gothenburg, Oslo, TU Berlin and Humboldt University Berlin. Heike Oevermann is habilitated and teaches as a private lecturer at the Bauhaus University Weimar. She is a member of the work group theory and teaching of the Denkmalpflege e.V., TICCIH and ICOMOS, Association of Critical Heritage Studies and the Bauhaus Institute for history and theory of architecture and planning.
