Ekkardt Sonntag, PhD

Ekkardt Sonntag (geb. 1978 in Hamburg) studierte evangelische Theologie (Grundstudium), Aspekte Biblischer Hermeneutik (MA) und promovierte am Lehrstuhl für Kirchen in Islamischen Kontexten an der Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam mit einer Arbeit über die Mittlerschaft Jesu im Hebräerbrief, verstanden im Kontext Nahöstlicher Mediationssoziologie.
Er war Gastdozent am Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary (MA Seminar Hebräerbrief) und hatte verschiedene pastorale und Beraterrollen bei internationalen Kirchen. Neben seiner wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit arbeitet Ekkardt Sonntag als Berater für Danmission, einer Dänischen Nichtregierungsorganisation für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit, die der lutherischen Kirche nahe steht.
